This "Bal à quatre", classic of the peninsula of RHUYS in the southwestern of Brittany, was collected by Alain Pennec in the village of SERENT. 

It is a dance based on a ternary rhythm which leads to a ratherunique bass playing and that's the whole point of this piece .
